No plans to retire now, says Anand

The world Chess Champion Viswanath Anand, the great Indian Master, has gained the fifth world title recently. After getting the award he returned to his native town and interviewed to the reporters that he is not going to retire and he will participate all the upcoming competitions. 

After participating in the first NIIT Limited’s 10 Turning Point Scholarships for ht e students in Chennai and he said to the reporters “There is no plan of retiring right now. In fact, having just won the championship has boosted my morale and I am looking forward to the next series.”

The reporters ask sequence of questions to Anand about his retirement. He is waiting to participate in the contest at Romania by the end of this month and that there was no explanation to retire as long as he enjoyed the game. He added, “Winning in Moscow meant a lot, emotionally. I don’t think about a competition by its number. Every title game is different and all you want is to defend that particular match. There is no checklist.”
