The successful chess player Viswanathan Anand has decides to
involve himself along with the chess academy and also projected by the West
Bengal government. Vishwanathan Anand has won the championship for chess for
the fifth time and also tribute by the State government. Anand has informed “I
am willing in principle to do so. But details will have to be worked out."
Anyway, Anand frankly said that he can not able to
participate in academy activities for every two months because he may reside in
Malaga and Spain. He added "There will be some serious problems about my
schedule. I'm not sure to come in every two months. I will try to come as often
as possible."
The state government has afforded five laks rupees and also
one laks rupees for the city GM Surya Sekhar Ganguly has the Anand’s in the
time of world championship. There were also numerous gifts, sweets and
chocolates showered on Anand who had approach here as the state's guest for the
first time subsequent to winning the title in Moscow.
Anand replied "Kolkata is a sport loving city. I really
like to come here. I am really honored by the gesture of the West Bengal
government." The state government had expressed the criticism for its
grand felicitation of IPL 5 winning Kolkata Knight Riders and sports minister
Madan Mitra said: "We have felicitated Sachin Tendulkar, KKR and now we
are doing it in honor of Anand. The city's GMs, including Dibyendu Barua, and
school children attended the programmed held at Kshudiram Anushilan Kendra.”
