Ex- BCCI President Purushottam M Rungta passed away

Ex President Purushottam M Rungta in Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has passed away, at the age of eighty four, on July 12th of 2012 due to sickness. With affection, he has been identified as the Bhaiji by the cricketers and administrators. 

Rungta has served as the Board of Control for cricket in India (BCCI) for about three years from the year 1972 to 1975. He also severed as the Vice President of BCCI from the year 1963 to 1972. He worked as the BCCI treasurer in the year of 1992 for about six months after the resignation of Madhav Matri from BCCI treasurer when he lost to Manohar Joshi in Bombay Cricket Association election.

After that former BCCI President Madhavrao Scindia named P.M.Rungta as the treasurer of the BCCI. On the other hand, he also managed the affairs of Rajasthan Cricket Association for many years.
