The Indian cricket team fast bowler Irfan Pathan has been
replaced for the injured Vinay Kumar in India’s squad for forwarding series for
limited over matches that supposed to be held in Sri Lanka. This announcement
has unveiled by the Indian Cricket Board of Friday.
The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) has
unveiled in a statement that "Vinay Kumar suffered a Grade I right
hamstring injury while training. He will hence not be available for the
forthcoming tour of Sri Lanka.” He also added "The selection committee has
named Irfan Pathan as his replacement in the Indian squad."
The Irfan Pathan, the left arm player, still now obtained
165 wickets in 115 One Day International matches. In Sri Lanka, India has to
play five One Day International matches commencing in Hambantota on July 21st
and the Twenty20 match commencing ay August 7th. Master Blaster of
Indian Cricket team Sachin Tendulkar has opted out in this tournament.
