England’s David Howell won the 6th Leiden International Chess tournament

David Howell, the best Chess player in England, has won the 6th Leiden International Chess tournament at 7.5 points on the match that held on July 15 of 2012. This tournament conducted at the place of Leiden of Netherland during the period of 7 July of 2012 to 15 July of 2012. 

The grandmaster and Asian Champion Parimarjan Negi has finished the tournament by the seven points out of nine points. Negi took the second place in the sixth Leiden International Chess tournament. In the final round, he faced the Benjamin Bok from Nederland in this chess tournament.  

He was announced as the Indian youngest Grandmaster at the age of 13 years on 1 July of the year 2006 subsequent to drawing with Russian Grandmaster Ruslan Sherbakov. He also won the 11th Asian continental chess championship held in from 4 May 2012 to 14 May 2012 in Vietnam. Third place of the Leiden tournament was shared by two Indian Grandmasters S Arun Prasad and M.R. Lalith at 6.5 points.
